I think the trip is really cool. The different cultures and how people live in this country. The plane ride in was interesting, Iceland was mountainous and barren at the same time. The people are friendly and make you feel welcome.
The water (mostly hot) smells like sulfur which takes some time to get used to. The recreation center has a lot to do. You can swim, work out, hot tubs, basketball, indoor and outside courts.
The players were older than we were used to and we seemed to match their level of play even thought we were younger.
The style of play was different in the way you can release from a foul shot and the paint was wider and you had to be careful of being in the much larger key too long. As a center you know where you are based upon the location of the key lines and in European play the key is different and I had to adjust to make sure I was not too far away from the basket.
I am looking forward to seeing the glacier and playing the national team in Reykjavik on Tuesday.
